DropShift Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Your media stays on your Mac.
This policy covers the Mac App Store and direct-download editions of DropShift and this website. You can read it without signing in, including when arriving from a mini program or a store.
1. Media files and local permissions
DropShift converts the video, audio, and image files you select, entirely on your Mac. We do not upload your media. Results are saved separately and originals are preserved.
Quick Drag is off by default. When enabled, Accessibility permission detects Shift and Option during Finder drags to open the format or editing wheel. Selecting files in the app window does not require this permission. You can revoke it at any time in macOS System Settings.
Preferences such as language, appearance, and Quick Drag are stored in standard user defaults on this Mac.
2. Mac App Store edition
The Mac App Store edition uses no activation codes, license servers, advertising, analytics, or tracking services. Apple handles purchases, and its privacy policy governs the related account and payment information.
3. Direct-edition activation and verification
During activation, the direct-download edition sends a product identifier, activation code, device fingerprint, device name, distribution channel, and app version to the license service to validate the license and manage device limits. Periodic verification sends the product identifier, activation code, and device fingerprint. Media files are never sent with these requests.
The license service records activation-code status, device bindings, first activation, and latest verification times to support license checks, device transfers, and customer support. The license is stored and its signature verified locally, with periodic online verification. Cloudflare Workers and D1 power the license service.
4. This website and third-party purchases
This website is hosted by Cloudflare and contains no advertising or analytics scripts. The host may process necessary network data, including IP addresses, request times, and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. The interactive demo does not receive or upload your actual media files.
When purchasing through a third-party platform such as Liandong Shop, that platform handles order and payment information under its own privacy policy. This website does not directly collect payment details. When a mini program opens this page, we do not request your mini-program account or personal profile.
5. Your choices and how to contact us
You can disable Accessibility permission in System Settings and manage your local media files yourself. For license records, device unbinding, privacy questions, or data deletion requests, contact yoqulin@qq.com. We will review and verify your request before acting. Please do not send full activation codes or sensitive media.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
